When Doug first picked up a guitar, it was one that belonged to an older friend who had come to visit. That friend must have seen something in Doug because he left that guitar with him for 6 months. Doug taught himself to play and, being left-handed, he learned to play upside down and backwards.
Doug McNamara lives in Orlando, Florida along with his cat, Mac, and his wall of guitars. Along with his unique technique, each instrument can bring something special to the sound and emotion of a song.
